Travelling from Florence to Sirmione by train, we were now in Lake Garda, one of the most well-known lakes in Italy. Sirmione is situated on the southern bank of the Lake, famous for its thermal baths and Rocca Scaligera, a well-preserved medieval castle with stunning views of the lake.

The castle is from the Scaliger era and is located on the narrowest part of the Peninsula, acting as a fortress to enter the old historical centre of Sirmione.
